The BraWorld Fitting Guide
Figleaves Bras | La Senza Bras
Follow the BraWorld top tips and sizing guide to determine what bra size you are and discover the world of great fitting underwear. A bra that fits correctly should feel comfortable and give you good support - if it's fitting properly, you shouldn't really feel it at all!
Measuring for bra band and cup size
To find out what bra size you are, you need to take two measurements. If at all possible, get someone else to take the measurements for you, as it helps to prevent the tape measure slipping and twisting and will give you a much more accurate measurement. Make sure you are standing straight but in a gently relaxed manner.
When taking your measurements, you should be wearing a comfortable bra, without padding. Don't use a very old tape measure, the likelihood is that if it was in use in your grandmother's day, it will be a tad stretched with wear and the measurements could be out by an inch or so!
Step 1 - Bra Band Measurement
First of all, take the measurement around your ribcage, directly underneath your bust. It is important to keep the tape measure flat to your body and take the measurement when the tape is tightened to a comfortable, but snug fit. Take a note of the measurement. If the measurement is an odd number, add 5 to the number to obtain your bra band size (for example, measurement = 31, add 5 to give a bra band size of 36). If the measurement is an even number, add 4 to the number to obtain your bra band size (for example, measurement = 30, add 4 to give a bra band size of 34).
Step 2 - Bra Cup Measurement
To determine the bra cup size you need, you must measure around your bust at the fullest part, again making sure that the tape measure is flat to your body. This time however, don't pull the tape measure too tightly, you need to take the measurement when the tape is at a relaxed and comfortable fit around the full part of your bust, it shouldn't feel as if it is constraining you in any way. Note down the measurement.
Check how much bigger the Bra Cup Measurement is than the bra band size you have already worked out and this will give you your bra cup size as follows.

| 1 | B |
